2021 was a Game Changer.
When I joined Hyatt Commercial Real Estate in December of 2017, I was wide-eyed and bushy-tailed – green behind the ears, ready to take on the world.
For some reason, Justin Mullen gave me a chance. Then reality set in, and I realized how hard it would be to build a business from the ground up in commercial real estate.
Luckily, I had “irrational confidence” and charged forward, helping serve any and all clients that I could, in any market, with any requirement. With the support of the company, I was able to build a solid foundation in the first two years in business, brokering over $23 Million in Transaction Volume, and serving 49 clients in 2018, and 2019.
2020 was a whole different story.
I started the year thinking it would be my breakout year. I had my plan in place, and I began to execute, working to serve clients at the highest level and broker a record amount of business.
Well… as the story goes…everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face (Thanks Mike Tyson). 2020 was a knockout punch for me, and I think many other people as well.
In a commission-based business, the uncertainty and grim outlook in the spring of 2020, made me question whether or not I could even succeed, let alone survive long enough to overcome the Tsunami of COVID.
Luckily, thanks to PPP & SBA Loans, I was able to stay afloat, and I poured everything I had into building systems, infrastructure, and a plan forward, once the economy and the Commercial Real Estate world started moving again.
In 2020, I was able to serve 13 clients and brokered $5.5 Million in Transaction Volume. Not a terrible year all things considered, but not even close to where I wanted to be. 2021 is when those plans and that foundation began to come together.
In 2021 I was able to serve 22 Clients, and broker over $60 Million in Transaction Volume. It truly changed the game. When I entered this business, my mission and purpose was to influence the economic landscape of communities through commercial real estate.

I am proud to truly be living that mission day in and day out. I could not be more grateful to my family, my wife, to the clients that trusted in me to serve their needs, the friends that referred business, and our team at Hyatt Commercial for their support.
2022 will be my fifth year in the business, and I am so excited for what’s to come.
As one of my friends and mentor says:
Adelante!
